the dance of her shadow

the dance of her shadow is a dance
against any agency of domination
again, it’s a sum-total of movements
counter the flames of the candle
each movement is a search for her lost fragments
an attempt to reach toward the original territory—
an isthmus between the mist of air
and the mist of truth
the dance of her shadow is a text
reconfiguring ache and words that erode the lips—
a smothering of shallow reverberations
each movement a dream
each movement a ship assembling its wrecks
