Autumn Leaves Unfulfilled

Author | Carl Palmer

too busy
always my excuse before
now with all the time in the world
too late
days grow shorter
time speeds up
with dreams still unrealized

one of these days has turned
into I wish I would have
reading someone else’s words
rather than writing my own
planning for tomorrow knowing
that day will be even shorter
than today
