About the Artists

Concetta Abbate is a NYC violinist, singer and composer who writes small chamber works. Her most recent album, Mirror Touch is written for 5 string violin, voice, woodwinds and percussion. It explores themes around mental health, women’s health and self care. Her work has been described as “Hauntingly Beautiful” (Filmmaker Brian Arriotti). She has won grants from the Rauschenberg Foundation, TAKT Berlin, Brooklyn Arts Council and the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs.

Animator, Courtney Pure lives a dual life as a farmer at the Bayard Cutting Arboretum in Long Island, NY. She is interested in the ways in which nature intersects with art. She is a graduate of New York City’s SVA.
