Description:

“Dusk-Line Runner” is a piece by Jake Miles that explores the power and facility of the saxophone in an intimate chamber setting. The piece aims to pay tribute to the instrument and its esoteric classical tradition in a lively, driving style, with a mood reminiscent of classic American film noir. The listener will hear the piano and saxophone chasing and teasing one another throughout the piece, maintaining a delicate balance between serious and whimsical.

Inspired by the characteristics of the saxophone itself, “Dusk-Line Runner” is quirky, beautiful, and fun.
