Loneliness

by: Kenyan Eldridge

Because I am aware of how it feels
Reaching out but no one knowing your name
It’s an unforgiving nature that kills
Especially when you’re the one to blame

Every day loudly echoes through your head
Every moment reliving your failures
Unable to bring yourself out of bed
Past, present, future show only terrors

Hope no longer has a familiar face
All you feel is what you’re surrounded by
Chaos runs rampant to finish the race
However, you suffer win, lose, or tie

Is all lost? Did I search the wrong places?
No matter, I haven’t searched in ages
