A ten-minute romcom starring Kelsey Waltermire as “Emily”, Mead Ryder as “Matthew” (dir. Mead Ryder, 2021). Won “Best In Festival” and “Judges’ Pick” (judges including Tony-Award winner Cady Huffman).

About the Artist
Caitlyn Waltermire is a playwright/songwriter from Kentucky and 2nd year Playwriting MFA student at UT Austin. She makes pain-filled funny things with lots of women and 1960s references. Since 2017, her plays have been developed + produced across the country. Credits include: Midtown Theatre Festival (“Outstanding Ensemble Award”, nominated for “Best Music”), Leeds Center for the Arts, Seat of our Pants Theatre (“Judges’ Pick” and “Best in Festival”), WUKY Radio (commissioned alongside new work by NYT best-selling author Silas House), Colorado New Musical Festival, Hickory Community Theatre (“Pamela Livingstone Outstanding Ensemble Script Award”), and Greenbrier Valley Theatre, West Virginia’s state professional theater. Her Greek myth retelling, Persephone Palmer Steps Out, premiered off-off Broadway at Theater for the New City in June 2025. Radio drama/period horror Good Company will be produced by podcast The Ugly Radio later this year.
