I want peach
colored curtains
and a breeze running
across my bare thigh.
I want the window
to be wide
open all through
the afternoon,
pollen catching
in the screen,
while you rest
alongside me,
your arm splayed
on the pillow in half
summer daze,
your eyes
following
the ceiling fan’s
path, mine on
your hand.
