Song of Wonders

About the Artist

Antonio Sanz Escallón is a composer, lyricist and pianist whose work is focused on exploring the dramatic and psychological aspects of music. He specializes in writing for the voice, as he is fascinated by the question of what a song can be. As a student in the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts he produced his opera with fellow classmates to high acclaim by the community. He frequently works as a pianist accompanying other musicians, and on his free time enjoys reading. A native of Houston, Texas, Antonio is currently working toward a bachelor’s degree in composition at the Moore’s School of Music, where he has studied with Rob Smith and Marcus Karl Maroney.
