I’ll Meet You There

  for K

At the end of the mind
at the mouth of the tunnel
to infinity
is Rumi’s field.

I’ll meet you there.

Even if the bus is late
and I forget to lock the house,
fail to bring water
and walking shoes,
even if I am totally unprepared
(who can prepare for this trip?)
I will
wait
I swear;
if it is
humanly possible

I will meet you there.
